Doshia M. Harris, MBA

Doshia M. Harris is a licensed Real Estate Broker  in the State of Indiana and the State of Alabama (pending).  She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California.  She is a visual learner, with a natural ability to create, plan, and execute unique projects and programs. Doshia has excellent team building and leadership skills, as well as a strong working knowledge of management information systems and procedures.  She has over twenty years of experience in the technology industry in the areas of engineering, operations/finance, human resource planning, and information technology (IT).

As the President/CEO of AF-AM Consulting Incorporated, Doshia has served as a lead consultant/project coordinator on a number of community-based projects, which included grant/proposal writing and data analyses.  She has assisted with the implementation and evaluation of various programs and services. Doshia has completed numerous research studies (focus groups, community surveys, key informant interviews); designed survey instruments; analyzed data; and created narrative reports. These projects (part of various communities’ quality of life plans) were related to health disparities, food equity, adult education, neighborhood restoration, and homeownership.

Other Experience:

AF-AM Consulting Incorporated - Designed and completed the ROSS PH Homeownership Program Evaluation for the Indianapolis Housing Agency. The evaluation included surveying residents of seven family public housing communities to determine their knowledge of the program.  Homeownership program participants and Housing Choice Voucher homeowners were surveyed to assess their perception of the program.

For five (5) years, evaluated and reported on the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Weed and Seed strategy in three (3) Indianapolis communities.  These evaluations included neighborhood restoration. Surveys were designed to analyze the perception of residents and stakeholders, as well as describe physical and social inspections of each community.

JB Real Estate Consultants - Marketed and sold affordable housing, incorporating local, state, and or federal down payment assistance programs. Worked with clients throughout the entire process (credit counseling, credit approval, home selection or construction, and settlement).
